Since it appeared on the market, Ford Focus RS was an inspiration for large tuning houses. Past who left their mark on the new hot-hatch are engineers Loder 1899, who injected car 45 extra horsepower.

Thus, the Focus RS is the most powerful series-wheel drive front axle. In view of the German tuner, 2.5 liter turbo engine from the Focus RS now developing 345 bhp, while maximum torque has been increased from 440 to 520 Nm.

Those from 1899 say Loder miracle ingredient is the completely redesigned exhaust system, which apart from a sound scarier, offers an additional 20 horses, while the system was recalibrated ECU. In addition, the RS site has received new sports suspension that reduces ground clearance by 35 mm and a new set of alloy wheels Vertigo by 20 inches, which are large compared with the 1 inch series.

Ford Focus RS consumes only 6.11 l/100 km – if you drive carefully

October 20th, 2009 Ford Reporter No comments

2009 Ford Focus RSWith 305 hp, Obtained from a 2.5-liter turbo propeller, Ford Focus RS hot hatch is your moment, taking into account that offers enough space, that comfort can be used every day.

You have the basis, therefore, the fact that the budget for gasoline will be small, even if the care officially consumes only 7.8 l/100 km extra.

However, RS site was entered in a contest … Consumption, held in Britain and called the MPG Marathon.
The car was run by a British auto journalist who managed to obtain a extra consumption of only 6.11 litres/100 km – 28% better than the official figure.

Here’s another example that small engines are not necessarily the key to a low consumption. Machines that they use most often are submotorizate, so just be moving and, overall, will not eat very little.

So, a decent middle way may be a relatively large and powerful engine but economical driving.
