Ford brings Capri back to life
The same cycle of self speculation that delighted the audience and encourage a lot of fans to dream about nice cars, it seems that Ford plans to revive the famous ’60s muscle car, Capri.
The new Scirocco will be the version of anti-GM and could be launched through 2012. According Caradisiac.com,the future Capri will share technical details with the next platform with Ford Focus ST, exposed in the concept stage at the Paris Motor Show.
In practice, the new Ford Capri coupe should be a new three-door Focus, currently only offered in five-door body variant and station wagon. The car will be equipped with 2.0 liter turbo engine and direct injection EcoBoost power in versions of 250 hp and 300 hp, top of the range.
According to the French site, the future will be at Ford Capri prototype form next year in Geneva or Frankfurt.
