At the Thailand Motor Expo, Ford’s rolling out a show truck based on the locally-produced Ford Ranger. Dubbed the Ranger Max, it’s a styling exercise designed to Deliver Maximum Capability, Maximum Style and Maximum Impact.
It seems like Ford puts their designers to hard work. Since the Freestyle failed to capture attention of the crossover-buying public they needed to get creative and make with something really cool. So they slapped a grille in the front end with three Chromed Bars, changed the headlights and improved the power with a Duratec 3.5Liter Engine, thus Taurus X was born from Freestyle`s ashes.
In 1999 Ford bought Volvo for $6.4 Billion and now, in plain crisis they want to sell the Swedish brand for $6 Billion in an attempt to cut the costs. Well, Volvo isn`t exactly the hottest catch since the entire auto market is struggling to stay alive and the reported sales were down 24% in the third-quarter.
Well, not only the new pony from Ford is amazingly good looking but is cheap as well, cheaper than his adversaries.
For example the standard V6-powered Mustang will cost $21,845 with delivering charge included while the Camaro costs 22,995 and the Dodge Charger is 22,545. All 3 cars came with V6 engines. Ford comes with optional drop-top making sure we`ll opt for thier muscle pony.
The new 2010 Ford Taurus is said to make his appearance in Detroit although Ford says he`ll be unveiled in Motor City. The design team worked 2 years on the successor of ford Taurus based on the same Kinetic Design as the New Mondeo, Focus, Fiesta and Kuga.
